Drama in Sepia…

Hola!

I must admit and be completely honest that I wasn’t blown away by these pictures when I took them back in May. They just didn’t really do much for me so I just let them sit on my hard drive never to be seen by anyone. Furthermore, I was really disappointed that I had once again taken what I considered to be a “bad” picture (I am my own worst critic and a bit of a perfectionist).

Well… the other day I was looking through my pictures and I stumbled across these images. I don’t know if it was the time spent away from them or me developing a better eye as a photographer but I saw something amazing in them. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them. So I applied my custom sepia toning and marveled at how much I LOVE these pictures now. I love the lighting and the mood that these invoke. There is a certain air of drama to them.

What do you think?

They’re beautiful! Sometimes you just need to walk away from your photos and come back fresh… I LOVE sepia. It’s puts on a totally different mood than black and white.

I’m noticing that I’m putting a lot more of my pictures in sepia these days.
