I’ve been keeping my feelers out so that I don’t miss any opportunities. I am pretty sure that I want to focus on being a wedding photographer but in the process I’m willing to try out different things. I mean after all shooting fashion, portraits, editorial, boudoir, product, etc. can all help me define my style as a wedding photographer. I am like a sponge right now, soaking up everything that comes my way. That’s why when a friend wanted me to do some boudoir pictures for her I jumped at the opportunity. For those of that don’t know, boudoir is defined as a lady’s private bedroom, sitting room or dressing room. It is a type of photography where women dress up in sexy items of clothing and have pictures taken that can revile those in any men’s magazine. Most women takes these pictures for their significant other. However, these types of shoots are also about empowering women to love their bodies and that they too are just as sexy (if not more so) as the women who grace the magazines.
Do to the delicate and private nature of these photos, in addition to the respect I have for my client, I can’t show the pictures we took from the shoot. However, there is one image that I have permission to share. I think this picture encompasses boudoir in it’s most basic sense… a lady’s private dressing room. Until next time.
