Atlanta Portrait Photography | 52 Weeks Project – Week 7 “The Way You Make Me Feel”

Friday, December 2nd, 2011

A few weeks ago I was the maid of honor at my best friend’s wedding and they had a Michael Jackson impersonator perform at their reception. I must admit it caught everyone off guard but I, like so many others, am a HUGE MJ fan so the impersonator was a real treat. Although I was never able to see him perform while he was alive it’s nice to see his legacy living on through his millions of fans. I remember as a child watching Thriller trying to mimic all the dance moves and I’m sure I’m not the only one who can attest to this very same thing. I’m NOWHERE near as good of a dancer as he was but he has definitely influenced my life in many ways. This picture represents my tribute to the King of Pop. Even though he is sorely missed, he lives on through his music.

Atlanta Portrait Photography | 52 Weeks Project – Week 6 “Into the Wild”

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

I’ve been very behind in posting my self-portraits from my 52 Weeks project. My sincerest apologies to the blog-o-sphere. The good news is that I have a bevy of post coming down the pipe line in the next few days. So without further ado, I would like to start with this portrait that I have entitled “Into the Wild.” Whenever I wash my hair and blow it out my mother says I look like a lion so… I decided to play on that. I really like how this turned out. I think I’ll share the before picture at some point so you all can see how much work went into creating this. I love hearing feedback so, let me know what you think?
