I remember her fondly as a baby but she is definitely not a baby anymore. They sure grow up fast.

About Saadia Me*Chel Carnes
Welcome!
I am an Atlanta based, wedding photographer but more importantly I am an artist. I believe that there is beauty in everything and that life, itself, is beautiful in all of its uncertainty. My camera serves as a powerful tool, allowing me to express my creativity in amazing, sometimes unconventional ways. I am able to use the medium of photography to capture the magnificence and beauty of the world as well as the people in it.
I look forward to meeting you, reading your comments, and sharing my work with you. Thanks so much for stopping by to visit. I hope you come back soon and often! To book the studio email us at studio@saadiamechel.com

Toya and I have been friends for 18 years. I love her like a sister and I was more than thrilled to take pictures of her for her birthday. We’ve been through a lot together over the years from Power Rangers to *Nsync, and now her recent engagement (Congrats!). Even though we’ve changed over the years and we’re finding our own places in the world, we know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we’ll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we’re not still friends. I love you, I’m proud of you, happy birthday and congratulations! I can’t wait to witness your marriage to your best friend!

Konnichi wa!
A few weeks ago I had this urge to paint a tire. I’m not quite sure where the urge came from but, I had to get my hands on a tire and paint it yellow. My boyfriend was kind enough to bring me a tire. He even spray painted it yellow for me (he is really too good to me). So once the tire was all painted and looking fabulous I needed wanted to use it in a photoshoot.
My little sister seemed like the perfect fit to match the playfulness the newly painted tire evoked. Plus, I had been promising my mother pictures of her. What a wonderful way to kill two birds with one stone right? Anyway, my sister and I didn’t have to look much farther than our own backyard (it has lovely light) for a location. So I grabbed my camera and tire, then proceeded to spend about 2 hours photographing my sister. I think the pictures turned out nicely and I was quite pleased with how the tire turned out.
Now, maybe I’ll spray paint the tire red and use it again for something else….

My sister and I are as different as night and day however, I love her! I may yell at her too much and not tell her I care about her enough but… she is my little sister and there for half of me.
Always being the willing model, we took a walk around the neighborhood so I could snap some photos of her. This is my favorite from the day. Love you lil sis!
