A year ago today I shot my very first wedding for my friends Jo and Tae. It was an honor to celebrate their special day with them. Happy Anniversary Jo and Tae! I wish you many more happy years to come! You can see more pictures of their day here and here.

Monday, October 10th, 2011The Beautiful Aisha
Monday, September 12th, 2011I had such a great time documenting Charles & Aisha’s wedding on Labor Day weekend. I’m still trying to pick out my favorites (there are so many!) so that I can blog them. In the meantime, enjoy another snippet from their wedding. In continuing with me beautiful brides “theme” I’ve decided to share a couple of portraits of Aisha on her wedding day.

Beautiful Brides
Monday, August 22nd, 2011To me, there are very few things more beautiful than a bride on her wedding day. Their happiness radiates through their entire being. In that moment, when they are all dressed up, hair and makeup done, knowing they are about to marry the man of their dreams… their beauty shines through. I feel blessed that I am able to capture these women as they celebrate a tremendous milestone in their lives. To all the beautiful brides that I have met since I’ve started on this journey… congratulations, I wish you all the happines this world has to offer.

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010Creative Live with Jasmine Star
Thursday, August 26th, 2010
“I’d rather you fail at something you love then succeed at something you hate.”
Faced with the decision to stay in law school and be miserable or pursue an unknown career in photography and be happy, Jasmine Star’s husband said the aforementioned to her. Following the positive affirmation from one of the most important people in her life, Jasmine left law school and dove head first into photography. Fast forward four years later and J* has one of the most successful photography businesses in the world. The girl is seriously a rock star in the photography world and to think… she has only been a photographer for 4 years.
So as you may imagine… when I heard that J* was doing an online photography workshop for 5 days, for FREE, I had to jump on the opportunity. The information this women has to offer is invaluable. Therefore, I’ve been sitting in front of my computer, for 5 hours, for the last two days, (and will continue to do so for the next 3 days) soaking up everything. Her topics range from marketing to branding to shooting. Tomorrow the workshop will cover a live wedding as Jasmine shoots it! Jasmine’s story and experience really speaks to me because she was in the exact same place that I’m in right now. It gives me hope that if I have faith in abundance, remain patient and persistent, and constantly get better at my craft that I can be successful at something I really love.
As a person that loves to learn, this opportunity has been right up my alley. At the end of the day… all this benefits me, my business, and my future clients. If you want to be the best, you have to learn from the best…
Until next time, as J* would say, K.I.R – Keep it real!

Atlanta Wedding Photography | Charles and Neri
Wednesday, July 28th, 2010I had the distinct pleasure of being able to second shoot with Ross Knight awhile back. It was my first time (hopefully not my last) second shooting and I must say I learned quite a bit. It was good to see Ross at work and the experience help to dissipate some of the anxiety I had about shooting a wedding myself.
Although, it was a hot day in GA we managed to stay cool while we snapped pictures at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center. The property was beautiful to shoot at. Thank you for letting me tag along for the day Ross. Here are a few pictures from the day. Enjoy!

Atlanta Wedding Photography | Charles + Kenisha = Married
Tuesday, March 16th, 2010I have known Charles for a very long time (since elementary school!). On a cool fall day, he and Kenisha exchanged vows in front of their friends and family. Although the day was cool, it could not squelch the warmth that surrounded the ceremony and the couple. Love was definitely in the air! I will be doing a shoot with Mr. & Mrs. Parker in the near future but until then… here are a few photos from their wedding day.
